Artist Statement:

My art practice often focuses on the places that I encounter, both strange and familiar. The specific political and social implications together with my own relationship to the place give the context to my work. Within these frames my artwork can be about the shifting identities in the global societies or of the double experience of being acquainted and a stranger to a place all at once. The works can be everything between explorations and reconstructions of the familiar, characteristic, strange and unexpected, but they always lay on the private, intimate experience, outspoken subjectivity. I constantly seek new ways to develop my practice, in terms of method, representation and perspective.
